Bhekuyise (Bheki) is a qualified Civil Engineer professional with 20 years experience - the first five years in Consulting Engineering, followed by 15 years in Local Government projects. He is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Candidate Technologist, is a member of the South African Institute of Civil Engineers and is pursuing registration with the Council for Construction Management Profession.
He began his career in 1993 at Hawkins Hawkins & Osborn Engineers, joining V3 Consulting Engineers in 1997. Thereafter, he worked for Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality’s design and contracts division where he was involved in the Design and Construction of Municipal Engineering Services. Later, as Senior Manager in the Engineering Services departments for various municipalities, over a period of 15 years, Bhekuyise gained vast experience in Project and Programme Management and Design and Construction of roads.

BSc. Engineering Honours (Civil) degree from the University of Zimbabwe - Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

He is professional engineer with more than 28 years postgraduate experience in civil engineering (water and wastewater) development engagements covering project planning, feasibility studies, construction management, design, contract administration and general office management. He has experience in project management, strategic planning and ISO 9000: 2015 quality management systems. Mr. Maisiri has vast regional experience having worked in both the public and private sectors in Zimbabwe, Namibia and currently South Africa. Some of the assignments he worked on include dams, bulk water supply, water and wastewater treatment and disposal, compliance and associated infrastructure such as roads and medium buildings /structures.

I have never missed a project deadline and i am always able to come up with solutions to often complex financial or infrastractural issues that meet the needs of the client. I am someone who always takes ownership of challenging situations and will go an extra mile to come up with the right solution to the project.

Mbuyisi has extensive design and construction management experience in various Water and Sanitation Projects, which he gained while working at UWP Engineers in East London. Coupled with this, Mbuyisi gained lecturing experience at WSU. Mbuyisi has 9 years experience in the Civil Engineering Industry and is a registered candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa. He is also experienced in structural Engineering and Project Management Theory and practice, enabling him to be a multi-skilled Engineer suitable for small to medium companies with limited resources. It is the vision of AMB to invest its resources in developing and upskilling African engineering graduates into Professional Engineers and Professional Technologists. Mbuyisi’s role in AMB will be that of providing engineering design solutions under the supervision of a professional registered engineer over a short-term period as his extensive experience warrants professional registration.
